Value Off Grid Solar Systems
Value Off-Grid Solar Systems are entry-level residential power systems, large enough to supply an efficient household with renewable energy.
Suitable for low-consumption electricity users who are used to cooking with gas, and who do not heat or cool the dwelling with electricity. If this is you, one of these systems may be all you need to live off the grid.
A Value Off-Grid System comes with up to 8 x 260 watt solar panels, a 24 volt solar battery bank with custom-made enclosure, and the pictured wall-mountable distribution board with MPPT regulator, DC breakers, fuses. The board offers enough extra space to accommodate a battery charger and a DC/AC inverter (up to 3000W).

Battery Monitor

Many of our customers install Value Off-Grid Systems themselves – all required steps are straight forward, and elaborate instructions are provided. If your board includes a DC/AC inverter, a licensed electrician is needed to complete the installation.
The distribution board and batteries should be installed indoors (e.g. shed, garage, or dedicated room). Batteries must be close (~1m) to the board, but not directly underneath.
If you reside within ~ 4 hours of Nimbin, we can install the system for you. In this case it may pay to upgrade your solar system with a Latronics inverter as such a system (when installed by an Off-Grid accredited installer) then qualifies for STCs. For example, the 8 Panel Kit would currently create $1548 worth of STCs. This may cover the installation cost entirely.
In addition to the detailed instruction manuals, a Value Off-Grid Solar System also includes participation in our Living with Solar workshop valued at $195. Furthermore, attendees also received a copy of our famous book Energy From Nature.
