Built for a sloping Coffs Harbour block
The 20ft container sits under the top storey as storage and part of the footing, lifting the home to catch the views. A large front deck sits between the containers. The 40ft containers' roof overhangs three metres to form a carport beside the main entry.
Factory-built, finished on site
All of the container work — cutouts, welding, kitchen, insulation, bathrooms and glazing — was done in our South Lismore factory within three weeks. Once the units were installed by their local builder, the timber floor went in and the roof was erected. Six weeks later the family of five moved from a caravan into the new home.
