Our Granny Cabin – 40Ft is the base model self-contained unit — a recycled high-cube shell at 40 ft / 12 m × 2.4 m, insulated, with kitchen and bathroom fitted in the factory. Published build time on that page is fabrication within 10 days, then transport to site. Less onsite disruption than a conventional build, which is why people use these as granny flats, studios and rural cabins.

Stingray Cabin 20ft: decks that travel with the building
Want outdoor living without a separate carpentry crew? The Stingray Cabin – 20Ft is the current Stingray in the range — self-contained kitchen and bathroom with two drop-down decks that travel with the unit.
It gets dropped onsite and the decks lower. Useful as a granny flat, farm stay, home office, art studio or site cabin. Kitchen and bathroom come ready to use; decks can take a roof and screens if you need them.
That’s the transportable / relocatable advantage in plain language: outdoor space that moves with the cabin.
Off-grid and “try before you buy”
If you need independence from the grid, The Big Tiny House publishes on-grid or off-grid options — two 20 ft high cubes with kitchen, laundry, bathroom and fold-down bed/lounge. Tell us what services your site has and we’ll size the solar and water tanks to suit.
For a real stay before you commit, the Tenterfield studio cabin — two 20 ft high cubes joined, floor-to-ceiling glass, pitched insulated roof — is available on Airbnb at Boulder Ridge, Tenterfield.
